I am always excited to read news and notes out of Rhode Island baseball. Today, I received an email from Eric Lindley, Director of Baseball Operations for the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s Newport Gulls. Mr. Lindley communicated that the Gulls’ 7th Hall of Fame Class had just been announced. “We have just recently released our first Class of 2026 Hall of Fame announcement, welcoming our 7th Inductee Class,” wrote Lindley, “Attached is our Press Release, as well as its corresponding graphic. The Newport Gulls are looking to hit a “Grand-Slam” with our 7th Hall of Fame Ceremony later this Summer – Saturday, July 18th at Cardines Field in Newport, RI!” I have attached the flyer and press release for your viewing.
Per the press release, the HOF Induction Ceremony will take place July 18th at historic Cardines Field, Newport, RI. And it looks like it will be yet another great summer in Newport, as the Gulls are celebrating 25 years in the Newport Baseball community.
