New York is the home of so many great baseball legends and thus has so many incredible baseball experiences. I have been truly lucky enough to have visited not only the current NY Mets and NY Yankee Stadiums, but also their predecessors. In my twenties, I attended games at both Shea Stadium and “The Old” Yankee Stadium. And in recent years, have been to games at the New Yankee Stadium as well as Citi Field. I have visited and toured Cooperstown’s Baseball Hall of Fame three times now, most recently just a few years ago. I have stopped in on a historic marker that was the film site of the movie “The Natural,” and even ran around right field for a spell just like the Knights’ Roy Hobbs. I had a blast in Batavia, had a thrill ride in Coney Island, and a hilly tour outside Sahlen Field in Buffalo. I got as far as Niagara Falls and Sal Maglie and as far east as Sag Harbor in the Hamptons. And I will tell you, even after all the New York adventures I have been on, there are still tons of great baseball experiences that are out there for me and other baseball fans. Here are some of the experiences, photos, and stories that make up my New York Baseball Experience.
