Do not adjust your computer screen. Do not replace your reading glasses with another pair. Do not check your beverage for any funny stuff. The Northeastern University Huskies, an NCAA Division 1 Baseball team, will carry on its recent Spring tradition of playing the Boston Red Sox, a Major League Baseball team, tomorrow in Fort Myers, Florida. The game is being played at the Red Sox Spring Training site – JetBlue Park. For authenticity purposes, this is a snippet from MLB.com’s schedule of games for tomorrow:

And a hilarious promotional video on the Northeastern University Huskies Baseball Team’s Instagram page:
And the very creative and equally hilarious promo paused on the Sox vs. Huskies game promo:

Quick story, I used to work with a former Huskie and member of the Northeastern University Baseball team who was part of the first NU vs. Red Sox exhibition in 1977. And I am fairly certain he mentioned to me on more than one occasion that he was in attendance or even participated in the game back in 1977. Pretty cool story!
The 2026 Spring Training schedule of games starts tomorrow in many cities across Arizona and Florida. It is an exciting time for Major League Baseball organizations, their players, their fans. And to say that the 2026 roster of Northeastern players, coaches, and families will have a memorable February 20th is about as big an understatement as I can come up with on two cups of coffee. Stomp the bases in place, water the infield one more time, remove the tarp on the mound, and let’s play some baseball!!!
