Baseball Show And Tell Event Set For January 17 At VA Beach Bayside Library

On Saturday, January 17th I will be hosting a baseball show and tell event here in Virginia Beach, VA. The event will take place at the Bayside Library, which is located off Independence Blvd, across from the Haygood Shopping Center and minutes from local stores, restaurants, and beaches. This free event is open to the public and encourages audience participation in sharing their interesting baseball memorabilia. Here is an example of a show and tell item and how I would present it to the audience:

I have owned this Boston Red Sox lamp for about 50 years or so. It features a Boston Red Sox helmet, which serves as the lamp’s base. The lampshade features the roster of Major League Baseball teams and their logos at the time of the lamp’s production. By the way, the lamp still works even though I have a baseball holding up the lampshade now instead of a lightbulb. This lamp has traveled with me from my hometown in North Kingstown to New York to Virginia back to Rhode Island and now back to my new home state of Virginia. I would say, without fail, that this is one my most cherished pieces of baseball memorabilia I own. Any questions?

So, do you have a cool baseball story that is tied to a cool piece of baseball memorabilia? Do you have a game used bat or poster or program that you would love to share a story or two about? Great, I would love to hear your story and for you to share it with me and others at my show and tell event. Here is more information on the event:
