With Opening Day games happening this week around numerous summer collegiate and amateur baseball leagues, it is going to be fun checking out scores and highlights every night and day this summer. Here are some of the summer collegiate and amateur baseball league (SCABL) box scores and game recaps I am checking out for June 4, 2025:
From the NABA Richmond IG Page, here are some box scores from last night’s games. And a post previewing tonight’s (Thursday, June 5th) game featuring the Dinwiddie Blue Jays vs. Richmond Brewers.
First home game of the season for the 2024 NECBL (New England Collegiate Baseball League) Newport Gulls at historic Cardines Field. And first win of 2025 for the Gulls, a 9-7 win over the Vermont Mountaineers.
Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) action last night in beautiful Batavia, NY featuring the Niagara Falls Americans vs the Batavia Muckdogs at historic Dwyer Stadium. Dwyer Stadium has the most incredible community feel to it and great views all of the ballpark’s seating area. A truly amazing summer baseball experience. Americans over Muckdogs last night in a close one, 10-8.
Per the Coastal Plain Baseball IG page, 4 CPL games and 1 non-CPL game last night on the schedule. Greenbrier Knights are affiliated with the Tidewater Summer League. And there go the Lexington County Blowfish again. Another night, another huge offensive production, this time at the hands of the Boone Bigfoots. Blowfish win in another blowout, 11-0. Three games on the schedule yesterday in the Futures League. Very early in the season, just 4 games in, but Ernie Little is off to a fantastic summer. 9 for 14 at the plate for the Nashua Silver Knights to go along with 5 stolen bases. A player to keep an eye this summer for sure.

I mentioned the Greenbrier Knights earlier, who faced off against the Tri-City Chili Peppers in non-league action last night. The Knights play in the Tidewater Summer League along with my local team, the Virginia Beach Valor. As you can see from the photo, the Valor play a number of non-league games vs Coastal Plain League teams as well. Very busy night in the Northwoods League. 12 games played on the night featuring teams like the Woodchucks, the Border Cats, the Kingfish, and the Leprechauns. I love the team names, just priceless!!!
Switching gears a bit, here is the Division 1 Men’s Baseball Super Regional Tournament schedule. So many top seeds and favorites have been eliminated already by underdog teams. Underdog teams that are playing exceptionally well I might add. Who will move on? Who will be upset? Who will hold serve? We find out later this week.
