Tuesday Night NECBL Playoff Action Featuring Bristol Blues vs Martha’s Vineyard Sharks

by Nick Lemley On Tuesday August 2nd I was able to attend my first NECBL playoff game, a semifinals game between the Bristol Blues and Martha’s Vineyard Sharks. On the first of August, the MV Sharks won their wildcard game against the Mystic Schooners in extra innings setting them up to play a best of three series against the Bristol Blues, who were the #2 ranked team in the post season and the NECBL Western Division Champs. The 2022 8-10 Little League Eastern Regional Tournament begins this Saturday August 6th. This summer is extra special for Cranston Western Little League because they are not only hosting the tournament, they are the Team Rhode Island entry into the tournament. Every August or thereabout, one Rhode Island Little League 12U team gets to represent Rhode Island in the Eastern Regionals in Bristol, CT. The Eastern Regionals is the last tournament hurdle before the BIG ONE – the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.
