Wednesday Morning Stats Festival Featuring Best Rhode Island High School Baseball Teams Since 1972

Before I go into the stats and All-Division teams and win/loss records of these incredible 20 Rhode Island High School Baseball teams, I have to say this project has far exceeded my expectations. I am getting a daily education on the teams, the players, who coached, who starred, who came out of nowhere, and who deserves a freaking book deal because he is so awesome!!! I am getting expert analysis from former players and even more expert analysis from some of their coaches. I played RIHS baseball from 1986-87 to 1989-90 so I have a pretty good memory of about … Continue reading Wednesday Morning Stats Festival Featuring Best Rhode Island High School Baseball Teams Since 1972

Grab Your Glove And Let’s Catch Up On Some Rhode Island Baseball News

Good Tuesday morning to everyone in the Rhode Island Baseball Community. I hope everyone had a pleasant and safe Labor Day Weekend. The rain, which was seemingly stored somewhere in Mother Nature’s pantry since June, was released all at once yesterday around 11am. Most of Rhode Island collegiate students as well as elementary, middle, and high school students are or have been returning to schools. In fact, a North Kingstown School Bus is pulling up to my street as I write this to pickup first year NKHS students. I have an NKHS student that drives to school and is entering … Continue reading Grab Your Glove And Let’s Catch Up On Some Rhode Island Baseball News

New England Club Baseball Association Adds Rhode Island Schools, Posts Fall Schedule

The New England Club Baseball Association (NECBA) is entering its 21st season of competitive club baseball at local New England Universities and Colleges. The NECBA, according to Commissioner Steve Pinner, “was formed in the fall of 2000 when the University of New Hampshire cancelled their varsity program.  Their coach, Pete Michel, kept the team alive as a club, and founded the NECBA with clubs from three other schools: the University of New England, Central Maine Community College, and my alma mater Boston University.  The league held its inaugural season in 2001 (with the first game being played on Sunday, September … Continue reading New England Club Baseball Association Adds Rhode Island Schools, Posts Fall Schedule

Saturday Afternoon RIMSBL 50+ Baseball Featuring Red Sox Vs Colt 45s

The Rhode Island Mens Senior Baseball League (RIMSBL) is in midst of another successful season here in 2022. RIMSBL has been playing competitive baseball games since the middle of May in its three age division – 30+, 40+, and 50+. And having been to a number of games over the past 4 years, these RIMSBL players are not just showing up and having a few laughs and walks down memory lane. These guys can still pitch, hit, hit with power, catch, run the bases, and amaze even the most casual baseball fan in the stands with a highlight reel play. … Continue reading Saturday Afternoon RIMSBL 50+ Baseball Featuring Red Sox Vs Colt 45s

Central Falls Youth Baseball’s Comeback Fundraiser Goal – Every Kid Plays For Free in 2023

One of my favorite things to write, post, and share is when a Rhode Island baseball organization and their local community come together to achieve a positive result. Fundraisers are critical for most youth sports leagues and help raise funds for field improvements, equipment upgrades, and sometimes to support scholarships for membership or registration fees. Today, I read a post about a local Rhode Island baseball league and its goal – “Every kid plays for free next year (2023).” That league is Central Falls Youth Baseball League. So, how are they approaching this lofty goal? Simply put on the flyer … Continue reading Central Falls Youth Baseball’s Comeback Fundraiser Goal – Every Kid Plays For Free in 2023
