Grab Your Glove And Let’s Catch Up On Some Rhode Island Baseball News

Good Tuesday morning to everyone in the Rhode Island Baseball Community. I hope everyone had a pleasant and safe Labor Day Weekend. The rain, which was seemingly stored somewhere in Mother Nature’s pantry since June, was released all at once yesterday around 11am. Most of Rhode Island collegiate students as well as elementary, middle, and high school students are or have been returning to schools. In fact, a North Kingstown School Bus is pulling up to my street as I write this to pickup first year NKHS students. I have an NKHS student that drives to school and is entering … Continue reading Grab Your Glove And Let’s Catch Up On Some Rhode Island Baseball News

Let’s Debate Who Is The Best Rhode Island High School Baseball Team Since 1972

A few mornings ago, I was throwing batting practice to an old baseball friend and current Mens Senior Baseball Circuit Free Agent, Jay Sutton. Jay and I meet regularly to play catch and I pitch gopher balls to Jay, who puts charge after charge into the baseball still to this day. It is a fun 45 minutes to an hour of BP, what’s happening in Rhode Island baseball, MLB, local sports today and in years past. This past BP session, Jay and I were discussing who we felt were some of the great Rhode Island High School teams of our … Continue reading Let’s Debate Who Is The Best Rhode Island High School Baseball Team Since 1972

A Tuesday Trip Around Townie Baseball Camp – The Drills, The Coaches, Ted & The Babe

To say Coach Bobby Rodericks loves to chat about, promote, or enlighten me or anyone who will listen about his beloved East Providence sports would be a gross understatement. I am fairly certain that the new Dad petitioned his family to call his first born “Townie” or some derivative whether it was a boy or a girl. Bobby Rodericks, simply put, has a ton of East Providence pride and is not shy about it. Coach Rodericks has a gigantic resume of coaching football, wrestling, and of course as the Head Coach of East Providence High School baseball. He has coached … Continue reading A Tuesday Trip Around Townie Baseball Camp – The Drills, The Coaches, Ted & The Babe
