The North Kingstown Food Pantry celebrated their 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Day with a cook-out at the Little Red School House. About 50 volunteers and their families showed up to enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs provided by the Pantry Board of Directors. The Food Pantry is operated entirely by unpaid volunteers and one part-time staff coordinator. Volunteers log hundreds of hours each month with client service, sorting food, stocking shelfs, clerical work, grant writing, fund raising and maintenance.
