I read this incredibly inspiring post in my Facebook group page “Something Off” this week from Rumford Little League President Eddie Wencis and wanted to share it with you. Rumford Little League, in addition to providing excellent youth baseball programs every year since 1951, also hosts post Spring, post District All Star tournaments at their baseball complex. One of my favorite things to write, post, and share is when a Rhode Island baseball organization and their local community come together to achieve a positive result. Fundraisers are critical for most youth sports leagues and help raise funds for field improvements, equipment upgrades, and sometimes to support scholarships for membership or registration fees.
