Over the past several months, I have been blessed to host some of North Kingstown’s talented youth musicians in a number of benefit shows.  These shows showcase the very talented singers, guitar players, piano players, and musicians that live and go to North Kingstown schools.  And, each show has a benefit theme.  The first show raised over $200 for North Kingstown Special Olympics.  The second and most recent show benefited the Pennies for Patients fundraiser that helps support the Rhode Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The shows are all upbeat, feature some amazing musical talents, and are a great way … Continue reading NK Teen Musicians To Play Benefit Show At Wickford Harbor Lights

For the busy professional and/or parent who loves to work out at the gym, a personal home gym has always been a great option.  For years, homeowners have cleared out their garage or basement to make room for a piece of strength equipment that will get them results like the smith machine, strength circuit or functional trainer at the gym.  Space, ceiling height, and the overall strength training experience are often times the greatest challenges for the homeowner who purchases strength equipment for their home.  In my 20 plus years of selling fitness equipment, I believe there is one personal … Continue reading The Cybex PG 400 Multi Gym – A Best in Class Fitness Machine

Inversion Therapy is often defined as hanging upside or at an inverted angle while being suspended or hanging by the ankles, lower leg, or feet for therapeutic purposes.  Those therapeutic purposes may include stretching or decompressing the spine or spinal traction in some cases.  There are a number of forms of inversion therapy, with gravity boots and inversion tables being two of the more common methods.  Inversion tables give the user much more range of starting points and are typically easier to use for a wider range of the population. On an otherwise cold and dreary Friday night, a group of 8 North Kingstown’s talented teen musicians warmed the ears, hearts and souls of everyone in attendance at local North Kingstown High School.  The event was the 2nd North Kingstown Teen Musician Open Mic Night.   In organizing the event, my goal was to help shine the light on some of North Kingstown’s very talented musicians, singers, and songwriters.  In addition, to find a worthy local or Rhode Island charity to donate money towards.  I encouraged the musicians and their fans to bring in a small donation in an effort to give back … Continue reading 2nd NK Teen Open Mic Benefits Pennies for Patients Charity
