West Bay YMCA Wants You To Take The Plunge on New Year’s Day
A few years back I took my family to Roger Wheeler Beach on New Year’s Day. Why? So I could jump into the freezing cold water in support of The Special Olympics. The event, more commonly known as the Polar Plunge, is a tradition in many cities and towns on New Year’s Day. It signifies the start of a new year or perhaps to cleanse the stress and strain of the previous year and start anew.
