West Bay YMCA Wants You To Take The Plunge on New Year’s Day

A few years back I took my family to Roger Wheeler Beach on New Year’s Day.  Why?  So I could jump into the freezing cold water in support of The Special Olympics.  The event, more commonly known as the Polar Plunge, is a tradition in many cities and towns on New Year’s Day.  It signifies the start of a new year or perhaps to cleanse the stress and strain of the previous year and start anew.  Or, like the event I participated in, it is a great community event to raise funds and awareness for local charities and organizations. Once … Continue reading West Bay YMCA Wants You To Take The Plunge on New Year’s Day
