This summer is extra special for Cranston Western Little League because they are not only hosting the tournament, they are the Team Rhode Island entry into the tournament. The 2022 Providence Slugfest Tournament, hosted by Providence Sports & Leadership, will take place starting next Thursday, August 4th. Providence Slugfest is a massive baseball tournament held every summer here in Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts that attracts top baseball talent from Rhode Island organizations as well as neighboring states.
