Every August or thereabout, one Rhode Island Little League 12U team gets to represent Rhode Island in the Eastern Regionals in Bristol, CT. The Eastern Regionals is the last tournament hurdle before the BIG ONE – the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. 2022 Providence Slugfest Schedules Revealed, Showcase Camp News

The 2022 Providence Slugfest Tournament, hosted by Providence Sports & Leadership, will take place starting next Thursday, August 4th. Providence Slugfest is a massive baseball tournament held every summer here in Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts that attracts top baseball talent from Rhode Island organizations as well as neighboring states. This year, Slugfest has 3 divisions – 14U, 16U, 18U – who will be competing on some of Rhode Island’s best baseball fields. My journey from Connecticut to MV was a bit long but it was worth it to see the NECBL showcase their best players for fans and MLB scouts in attendance.
