Rumford Little League Proud To Host Another Successful Wounded Warrior Tournament

I read this incredibly inspiring post in my Facebook group page “Something Off” this week from Rumford Little League President Eddie Wencis and wanted to share it with you. Rumford Little League, in addition to providing excellent youth baseball programs every year since 1951, also hosts post Spring, post District All Star tournaments at their baseball complex. The Scott Grace and the Wounded Warrior Tournaments require a ton of community support, volunteers, and hard work to manage every year. And every year, these tournaments hosted and run by Rumford Little League are some of the best attended and most memorable … Continue reading Rumford Little League Proud To Host Another Successful Wounded Warrior Tournament

Grab Your Glove And Let’s Catch Up On Some Rhode Island Baseball News

Good Tuesday morning to everyone in the Rhode Island Baseball Community. I hope everyone had a pleasant and safe Labor Day Weekend. The rain, which was seemingly stored somewhere in Mother Nature’s pantry since June, was released all at once yesterday around 11am. Most of Rhode Island collegiate students as well as elementary, middle, and high school students are or have been returning to schools. In fact, a North Kingstown School Bus is pulling up to my street as I write this to pickup first year NKHS students. Rhode Island Teams Head To Cooperstown Dreams Park For A Memorable Baseball Experience

Last fall, I had the great fortune to “stumble” upon the Cooperstown Dream Park in Cooperstown, NY. I was staying in the area doing a story on Rhode Island players who have a connection with the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. One night I decided to find the Hall of Fame without the benefit of a map or GPS, choosing to let my baseball tracking system (BTS) guide me to the village and museum. I got lost and went the wrong way, or did I? On my left, I discovered a park that I had only seen in … Continue reading Rhode Island Teams Head To Cooperstown Dreams Park For A Memorable Baseball Experience
