The great blues legend, B.B. King, born Riley B. King, passed away late Thursday night in Las Vegas, NV. King was 89 years young.  His death has been one of the top news stories trending on social media as well as national media broadcasts.  There have been video tributes from the likes of Eric Clapton to hit social media and I’m confident that Clapton’s will certainly not be the last.  B.B. Bonds, Clemens – Put them In The Hall of Fame…Under One Condition

What do Michigan, Syracuse, and Ohio State Universities have in common?  They are all powerhouse NCAA schools with high profile coaches, athletes, and stadiums.  All have won national championships in football, baseball, basketball, just to name a few. And, all of them have had to vacate victories due to NCAA sanctions against them. Most recently, Syracuse University basketball head coach Jim Boeheim will vacate 108 wins due to NCAA sanctions against Syracuse. Boeheim, by the way, is in the Basketball Hall of Fame (elected in 2005) and there are no imminent plans for his removal. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is about four regular turtles who get mutated into 6 foot tall, talking, pizza loving turtles.  They are trained and managed by Master Splinter. They are like shadows in the night until news reporter for channel 6 April O’Neil (played by Megan Fox) spotted them and took their picture. But when April O’Neil was face to face with the four turtles, she collapsed. Donatello found her phone and wiped her phone’s memory so no one would see the picture.   Shredder is the evil character in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. U.B.E. Upper Body Ergometer – A Great Exercise and Rehabilitation Machine

An Upper Body Ergometer, or U.B.E., is a cardiovascular machine. It uses your upper body in a similar motion as you move your legs in an exercise bike.  A U.B.E. has handles that rotate in a circular motion. I am a proud parent of a Cub Scout.  He has been an active member of Pack 1 Sauderstown for a few years now and I have to say it has been an incredible experience for him.  My son has learned life skills, basic emergency skills, how to treat others fairly and with courtesy, fitness skills, just to name a few.
