Sharing Box Scores From NCAA College And University Baseball Fields I Have Visited

In my baseball journeys to college and university baseball fields over the past decade or so, the story of my trip is typically not the players or a live game. It is the field of play, the stadium’s front gate entrance, the bleachers, and all sorts of interesting statues and memorabilia. Many times, I would say more often than not, I visit an empty baseball field on a college or university campus. Truth be told, I actually prefer it because I am not bothering players or coaches or team personnel while they are working. I can photograph, take a tour, and experience the field for all its glory at my pace. So long as the field is open to the public, I enter and exit with dignity. All while knowing that at some point in time, there will be players, coaches, umpires, and cheering fans that will fill up the ballpark.

So, in the spirit of the unofficial Opening Day of the 2026 NCAA Baseball season, I would like to present to you proof that games are played on the fields that I visit. Pitchers struck out batters, hitters clobbered home runs, umpires were right and wrong on that double play call, and coaches yelled from the dugout to keep your eye on the ball. Fans showed up, concession stands pumped out popcorn by the bag, and families smiled a big grin knowing their Little Leaguer was now officially a college baseball player. What a time for baseball – Opening Day. Here are some box scores of NCAA schools I visited in my nationwide quest to see every single baseball field that ever existed – no joke, that is my quest:

Follow along this season as I highlight some of the college and university baseball teams whose fields I have visited in the past decade or so. Turns out, they do play live games at these fields, so I am going promote the players, the fans, the schools, and the greatness that is college baseball.

And if you have a box score or team recap or photos you would like me to share with everyone, send me a message with your team information.
