The Beware Of Flying Objects And Other Interesting Baseball Signs Photo Gallery

When I visit a baseball field, one of the first things I look for is a sign. A sign that the field is open to view, that the field is available to walk inside and take in its beauty and uniqueness, legally. A sign could be a physical sign or an open gate or an open spot in the outfield or it could be a field representative that I introduce myself to. If I see the “open” sign(s), I enter and start my field experience. If I do not see the “open” sign(s), I simply continue around the perimeter of the field and respect the signs that the field is not open for viewing. My motto is: Respect the Signs.

Once inside the baseball park or parking lot area, there are a ton of signs everywhere to keep fans safe and aware. There are signs like these:

If you are making your way into the stadium or ballfield, there are signs on the perimeter walls and structures to keep you safe and informed. Where to park, if falling, foul or Home Run baseballs are frequent visitors, that kind of information. Like this:

And there are motivational signs on many, many baseball fields from Tee Ball level to the Major Leagues. How to be a good fan, how to encourage sportsmanship, and how to be a good role model for the players on the field. Like this one:

And perhaps my favorite sign when I arrive at a baseball field:

Baseball signs are everywhere on a baseball field. Coaches give signs from the third base coach’s box to hit, steal, bunt, take, or do nothing at all. Catchers give numbered signs to pitchers which translate into fastballs or curveballs or changeups. Printed signs, banners, and posters are all over the walls inside and outside of a baseball field, park, or stadium. Beware of flying objects, meaning baseballs and perhaps bats, is really good advice. With a photo library of field signs, I can’t help but recite my field experience motto:

Respect the Signs.
