This summer, I was lucky enough to attend a Vintage Base Ball game in Hobart, Indiana. The game featured two teams playing vintage base ball rules set in a wonderfully timeless baseball park called Grinders Field. I wrote a blog about it, shared photos on my social media pages, and pretty much told everyone I knew that it was one of the most incredible baseball experiences I have ever had. From that game to the present day, I have been meeting vintage base ball players, vendors, and historians via email and have just loved the stories and folks I have met.
One of the Vintage Base Ball Association’s trustees read my article about the Deep River Grinders game and asked me if he could include in his Summer Newsletter. I was thrilled to be asked and graciously accepted. Here is the newsletter, along with my article on the Deep River Grinders Experience I had back in August.
Huge thanks to Gary The Professor Schiappacasse for including me and my article in the VBBA Summer Newsletter. For more information on the Vintage Base Ball Association, head over to their website – VBBA.
