Summer collegiate and amateur baseball leagues (SCABL) all over the USA celebrated the 4th of July with baseball, family fun, fireworks, and so much more. It has been a very exciting summer season and July has so much more to offer fans and families of summer baseball. Here are the stories, game recaps, box scores, announcements I am following this week:
I saw this IG post this morning on the popular Newport Buzz IG page. An awesome idea is brewing at Cardines Field, normally the summer home of the George Donnelly Sunset League, the Newport Gulls, and local youth baseball leagues. The Newport Folk Fest is an annual tradition that dates back to the 1960s and the stars who have played NPT are the “who’s who” of the music industry. See the post below for a benefit softball game, which will support local music teachers, budding musicians, and the music industry in general. Awesome idea!!! I wish I was home in RI for this one.
Pro scouts, family fun, great baseball, and Macon, Georgia hospitality – all part of the 2025 Coastal Plain League All-Star Game, held at Luther Williams Field, Macon. The host team, The Macon Bacon, represented their league tremendously. Looks like everyone had an absolute blast over the ASG weekend.
