SCABL Box Scores And Game Recaps – Weekend Updates, All-Star Games, Norfolk Tides

Summer collegiate and amateur baseball leagues are rolling on as we approach the July 4th holiday week. Rain and high temperatures are a common scheduling issue for many leagues, especially here in Hampton Roads and the Carolinas. In between all the SCABL games and highlights and box scores, I took in a Norfolk Tides game yesterday with Rachel. Here are some photos from the game, seen 99% of the time in the shade up the upper deck level seating.

The Old North State League held its annual All-Star Game yesterday at Jack Amyette Park, Jacksonville, NC. The East Region beat out the West Region. Jordan Overton of the home team Jacksonville Ospreys was named the game’s MVP. Parker Winfield of the Tarboro River Bandits wins the 2025 ONSL Home Run Derby.

NABA Richmond schedule for Monday night – Dirt Devils vs. Avalanche. Love the graphics, love the game review, amazing IG Post.

Busy day yesterday in the Coastal Plain League. Late June heat in the runs column for many of the CPL teams, check out the scores here, many over 10 runs per game. Greenville Gnomes topping the list at 16 runs in just 7 innings of play.

Taking a quick stroll up north to the Futures League, DH Saturday Split for the Norwich Sea Unicorns vs. Nashua Silver Knights. Vermont Lake Monsters go 2-0 over the weekend. Worcester holds a slim lead in the standings over Vermont at 19-9.

Another week, another no-hitter in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League. Sag Harbor Whalers trio of hurlers throwing that no-no – Everett Garber, Declan Semler, and Ethan Righter.

Checking on the George Donnelly Sunset League this morning, I went over to their YouTube page for Scorpions Baseball vs. Westcott. Lot of great Rhode Island based players on both squads. Awesome video at historic Cardines Field, Newport.

Checking in on the Niagara Falls Americans of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. Another night, another W. A close one here over the Elmira Pioneers. Americans win this one 7-6.

Tip of the cap to the Cape Cod Baseball League player of the week, Wareham Gatemen’s Ty Dalley of Clemson University.

And a second tip of the cap to the Cape Cod Baseball League Pitcher of the Week, Tyler Pitzer of Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox and Mississippi State University.

One more trip up north to the New England Collegiate Baseball League for Saturday and Sunday scores. And the standings as of this morning, June 30th. Keene SwampBats lead the North, Newport Gulls lead the South.

Finally, a trip west to check in on the Madison Mallard and their amazing 2025 season in the Northwoods League. Love those uniforms, remind me of the new Boston Red Sox city connect unis. Awesome.

This week, I’m looking forward to a few SCABL road trips north to Richmond, south to North Carolina, and stopping in on a few games here in Hampton Roads. Stay cool everyone!!!
