SCABL Box Scores And Game Recaps – June 10, 2025

I just thought of something…it is not officially summer until the end of next week. Yet, we have had a tremendous few weeks of summer collegiate and amateur baseball league (SCABL) action already. And one thing that jumps off the page when I read these box scores and see these Instagram posts is the fan attendance numbers. Wow, folks are really getting out this year to support their local team and check out the next wave of potential Major League Baseball players playing summer baseball. I love this time of year for the baseball season. Here are some of the SCABL box scores and game recaps I am following today:

Judging by the weather the last few nights in the New England area watching the Boston Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays games, mist and fog and rain have been part of the baseball story for New England teams. 1 game postponed last night, 2 games played in the Futures League.

Box scores from the NABA Richmond schedule of games for last night. And anytime I am so happy and thrilled and elated to post any time a “Yankee” team loses, like in the case of the Richmond River Dogs defeat over the Richmond Yankees. Well done, River Dogs!!!

Busy night for the Old North State League, including a doubleheader sweep by the Lake Norman Harbor Hippos over the Pineville Porcupines. Weather looks reasonably good for the rest of the week here in the South Atlantic states, so the Old North should be pumping out games left and right here very soon.

4 games played, including a doubleheader sweep by the Wilson Tobs over the Martinsville Marlins, and 2 cancelled due to weather (where have I heard that before?) Peninsula Pilots finally drop one, losing to nearby Tri-City Chili Peppers last night 6-3. Great start to the season however for the Pilots at 8-1.

Some local Hampton Roads High School Baseball news…The All Tidewater Classic was played at historic War Memorial Stadium in Hampton this past week. Here is the local news clip on the game and its founder, local Hampton Roads baseball standout, former MLB player Michael Cuddyer – https://www.wavy.com/sports/757-legends-in-attendance-for-3rd-annual-all-tidewater-classic/

5 games scheduled, 3 games played in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGBCL), including another impressive win by the Niagara Falls Americans over the Jamestown Tarp Skunks.

Broken record blogging here but…5 games in the NECBL, 2 completed as far as my research goes. Close games, Mystic over Bristol 2-1 and Keene over Newport 1-0. Box scores are listed below.

Cape Cod Baseball League’s Wareham Gatemen, my official home team in the CCBL, kicks off their 2025 season in 3 days time. From what I have read, there have been some upgrades to Spillane Stadium, so I am eager to check out the games online or if I get a chance, in person this summer.
