SCABL Box Scores And Game Recaps – June 8, 2025

The summer collegiate and amateur baseball league (SCABL) season is just a few weeks old and there has already been tons of great baseball played already. Teams from Newport, Rhode Island to Green Bay, Wisconsin are packing baseball fields and historic stadiums with family, friends, and fans of summer baseball. The rain has been an early pest for scheduling games in late May and early June, but not to worry. We still have 2 full months of SCABL. Here are some of the box scores and game recaps and potential SCABL matchups I am following this morning:

6 games scheduled yesterday in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). From what I can read, a lot of close contests – 7-6, 3-1, 4-2. These NECBL games always feature top collegiate baseball talent from all over the US colleges and university programs. And as the NCAA tournaments wind down, more players are set to join NECBL teams soon. Here are the game scores from yesterday, June 8.

8 games played, 3 postponed in the Old North State League last night. Here are the scores from Sunday, June 8 around the league:

Here is a roster of games to be played tonight in the Old North State League:

One game on the schedule today is definitely on my radar. Weather permitting, I am hoping to take the drive down to Edenton, NC to see the hometown Edenton Steamers vs the VB Valor. Also, looking forward to walking around historic Hicks Field and getting a chance to see some great local SCABL action.

Shoutout to my home state of Rhode Island and the Bishop Hendricken Hawks Baseball program. Another Division 1 title won yesterday, this time vs. a very good Cumberland High School club. Congrats to all the Hendy Baseball players, coaches, and families.

Coastal Plain League action last night featured 5 games played. And another win from the Peninsula Pilots, that makes 8 straight to start 2025!

Fort Smith Marshals (out of Fort Smith, Arkansas), most likely dodging very turbulent storms this weekend, managed to get in a game or two. Yesterday’s win was over the Abilene Flying Bison by a score of 3-1. Speaking of Arkansas, University of Arkansas beat Tennessee yesterday to advance to the 2025 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Arkansas is going to be one of the favorites to win it all this year in Omaha.

Three games scheduled, three games played and completed yesterday in the Futures League. Here is the scoreboard for yesterday’s games along with the box scores for each game:

NABA Richmond with another stunning IG post and schedule update. This IG page is a must see for me every morning. Great creativity there NABA Richmond team!

Split doubleheader yesterday for the Batavia Muckdogs of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. Batavia and the Niagara Ironbacks traded wins – 5-1 game 1 win for Batavia, then Niagara taking Game 2 3-1.

And in more PGCBL action, the Niagara Falls Americans are now 4-0 after dealing the Jamestown Tarp Skunks a 13-6 thumping at historic Sal Maglie Stadium.

In the George Donnelly Sunset League yesterday, it was R&R Construction over Town Dock. The game scoreboard and box score for the game are posted below. And give it a day or two and you can watch the entire game on GDSL YouTube page – GDSL1919.

And as always, if you have a box score, game recap, photos, or news from your SCABL team or league, send it my way. I am happy to share your SCABL news on my baseball blog and social media pages.
