The George Donnelly Sunset League in Newport needs no introduction. But if you are unfamiliar, we can still be friends! The Sunset League is one of the oldest continually organized amateur baseball leagues in the United States, having started operation in 1919. They play most of their games at historic Cardines Field in beautiful downtown Newport, Rhode Island. The GDSL is an amateur baseball league comprised of current and former collegiate as well as former minor league and professional baseball players. You can learn more at www.gdsunsetleague.com. The Milwaukee Milkmen are an independent professional baseball organization located in Franklin, Wisconsin. I recently visited their field during a work trip (ABF Freight) to Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Milkmen are proud members of the American Association of Professional Baseball. The AAPB League consists of 12 teams, two divisions (East and West).
Full slate of games in the Old North State League today, May 31st, after rain postponed, delayed, or cancelled many games last night. The Old North State League, a summer collegiate baseball league, consists of 4 divisions (Mountain, Piedmont, Tidewater, Coastal) each with 6 teams. Wow, a huge 24 team league that spans almost the entire state of North Carolina, plus one spot in Danville, Virginia. Here is one score from last night – Edenton Steamers blanked the Yorktown Coconuts 6-0.

Here is the link to the 2025 Cape Cod Baseball League schedule – 2025 CCBL Schedule. All Star Game will be played at Red Wilson Field, home of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. If you go, make sure you stop in at Cape Cod Creamery on your way home or to your hotel.

The corporate headquarters for my work is Fort Smith, Arkansas. It just so happens that they sponsor a local summer collegiate baseball league team, the Fort Smith Marshals. The Marshals play in the Mid American League, which consists of 6 teams in the Arkansas, Missouri, Texas area. I had a chance to visit their home field last year, which is on the campus of University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. Here is the upcoming Marshals schedule of games.
