Some personal news as we end March of 2025. I recently enrolled in and completed a very intense online course in grant writing. The course is produced by leading grant writing resource, Spark The Fire and owner/instructor Allison Jones. My interest in grant writing will focus on sports, sports leagues, sports organizations, medical research, and community needs. I look forward to using my newly minted writing skills to help chart a positive path for a organization in need.

As a press agent for Wickford (now North Kingstown/Wickford) Little League in the mid 2000s, I was first exposed to the power of grants for youth sports organizations. WLL used grants to help secure funds for things like field renovations, equipment upgrades, and organizational technological improvements. The grants Wickford Little League were able to secure helped make a positive impact on their stance in the community of North Kingstown, one that has been a powerful relationship for over 50 years running. And now with the experience I gained from Wickford Little League and this course, I am ready to help the next organization improve and grow in their community.
