A To Z Challenge Number 1 – Baseball Parks Visited

Here is an interesting (well, at least to my small brain) challenge to take part in and potentially answer me back on. Can you go through the entire alphabet and name a baseball stadium for every letter of the alphabet? I came close. Maybe you can top me. If you can, send me your list (names can be withheld) so I can see where I need to go to fill out my A to Z list. Here is my list of ball fields I have visited from A to Z, with some photos mixed in to prove it!

A – The Big A, Anaheim Angels Stadium, Anaheim, CA

B – Blair Field, home of the California Long Beach Dirtbags, Long Beach, CA

C – Conaty Field, Bryant University, Smithfield, RI

D – Dwyer Stadium, Batavia Muckdogs, Batavia, NY

E – East Greenwich High School, East Greenwich, RI

F – Franklin Field, home of the Milwaukee Milkmen, Milwaukee, WI (I bet you thought I was going to say Fenway!!!)

G – Grizzly Baseball Complex, Georgia Gwinnett College, Lawrenceville, GA

H – Hohokam Stadium, home of the Spring Training A’s, Mesa, AZ

I – No “I” to speak of. But I did visit University of California, Irvine and Anteater Ballpark, Irvine, CA

J – Jet Blue Park, home of the Spring Training Boston Red Sox, Ft. Myers, FL

K – Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA

L – Logger Baseball Field, home of the University of Puget Sound Loggers, Tacoma, WA

M – Marty L. Miller Field, home of the Norfolk State Spartans, Norfolk, VA

N – Northwest Arkansas Naturals, aka Arvest Ballpark, Springdale, AR

O – Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore, MD

P – Pontarelli Field, home of the Rhode Island College Anchormen, North Providence, RI

Q – Got nothin’, nothin’ I say!!!

R – Red Wilson Field, Cape Cod League Baseball, S Yarmouth, MA

S – Smith Field, home of the Sacramento State Hornets, Sac-town, CA

T – Trenton Thunder Stadium, Trenton, NJ

U – I could nominate tons of ‘University of’ fields here. I’ll nominate the University of California, Fullerton since I have no other “U” fields to speak of.

V – Victory Field, home of the Indianapolis Indians, Indy, IN

W – War Memorial Stadium, Buffalo, NY (The Natural was filmed here)

X – Very limited X fields out there, so can’t wait to see this one filled up.

Y – Yogi Berra Stadium, Montclair State University, NJ

Z – I know the Carolina Mudcats have a baseball facility in Zebulon, North Carolina, which is on my road trip bucket list for 2025. Other than Grizzlies or the Jazz or the Buzz, no “Z” fields to speak of.

So, if you are keeping score, I missed 5 out of 26 – I, Q, U, X, Z. I left out a ton, like Cardines, Harbor Park, Segra Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Old Orchard Beach – I could go on and on with doubles, triples, quadruples of stadiums already spoken for. But, for now, I came up a little bit short to complete a total A to Z for baseball fields visited. What about you, can you complete a list from A to Z?
