As of July 5th, the newest Rhode Island baseball player to be signed by a Major League Baseball organization is North Kingstown High School’s Patrick Maybach. According to the Chicago White Sox’s MLB account, Maybach was signed on July 5th and assigned to their Single A Affiliate in Kannapolis, North Carolina. So, Patrick Maybach of NKHS and Salve Regina University (Newport) fame is now an active member of a professional Minor League Baseball team. Wow, what a story. Congrats to Patrick and the entire Maybach family. This amazing baseball story is still writing itself and I can’t wait to read/see/experience the next chapters. Good luck Lefty!!!
