A Toast To A Life Well Traveled – An 8Unassisted St. Pats Photo Gallery

Today is March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. For many, the holiday of St. Patrick’s Day is extra incentive to go out and imbibe a nice whiskey or a tall frosty ale, whether it be 10am or 10pm. For the rest of us, it is a work day and we have to be mindful of responsibilities and family stuff and the busy-ness of life. Since I am working today and into tonight, I would like to take this opportunity to raise a glass creatively to my family and friends on this very Irish of Irish holidays.

Cheers to my wife Rachel, who puts up with my Irish vs Italian jokes each and every day, amongst other things. And cheers to her favorite cocktail at home or at the restaurants – Sangria.

Cheers to the Boston Red Sox, who have been playing great baseball so far this Spring Training. I know its only Spring Training, but as a diehard fan, a win is a win. Good luck this season Boston Red Sox players, coaches, and organization!

Cheers to creative mural artists, like the one who painted this amazing Babe Ruth mural outside Polar Park in Worcester. And cheers to the Sultan of Swat, George Herman Babe Ruth, who would have most definitely played for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, had they played it in the 1920s.

Cheers to flipping the seasons from Winter to Spring in just a few days time. The Spring Season starts March 20th and places like Block Island and The Oar will begin to ramp up their facilities for the summer rush. Cheers to everyone who helps make Rhode Island one of the best tourist states every summer!

Cheers to the Town of Cooperstown, NY where I sat and drank this delicious Bambino American Amber Ale. The town is filled with baseball stuff from end to end. Oh, and it houses the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Doubleday Field, and some of the most friendly shop owners and restaurant workers you will ever meet. If you haven’t visited Cooperstown, make an effort soon – you will not regret it.

Cheers to sipping a beer or tasty adult beverage outside on a deck. Wind up that umbrella, sit back and enjoy the scenery, take in a few deeps breathes of fresh air – I just love sitting outside and having a cold one! Bring on the warmer weather, Let’s GOOOO!

Cheers to my dogs Nora and Rookie. Rain or shine, winter or summer, these two adventure Weims are always ready to party, to catch a bunny in the yard (mostly unsuccessful), or to go for a hike around Rhode Island’s beautiful landscape. To many years of health and happiness, cheers Nora and Rookie!

Finally, last but not least Cheers to all my family members, co-workers, friends, and neighbors. We may have our differences, we may have our differences of opinions, we may have different views of reality, but for one virtual cling of the glass, let’s put them aside and have a drink together. Cheers to being original in thought and creative in life.

If you are heading out today, tonight for St. Patrick’s Day festivities, be safe on the roads. Your family and friends and co-workers want to see you on Saturday/Sunday/Monday so be careful!!!
